- אָדָאIV m. (b. h. צֹדֶה; cmp. b. h. עַד prey, a. אֵיד destruction) fowler, one who puts up baits, snares for other peoples doves. Snh.25a (explain. mafriḥe yonim, Mishn.) ר׳אמר א׳ Ms. M. a. Oxf., a. Ar. (ed. ארא; v. Rabb. D. S. a. l., a. Ar.) Rsays, the Mishnah means a fowler (to be disqualified as witness ).
